FATHER’S DAY LUNCH
Sunday 21st June 2009
£29.50 per person - £15.50 per child under 12

Treat the Father in your Life! A glass of wine or fruit punch on arrival followed by a 3 course Lunch and coffee. There will be a small gift for every father!

ITALIAN WEEK

We have just celebrated our 10th hugely successful ‘Italian Week’.  Over the three days, nearly 120 guests enjoyed Italian food, Italian wine, Italian music, Italian films and for the brave, a little Italian conversation.  The Italian flag flew from the Flagpole and the English Sun shone! The talks included an outstanding talk on Monet’s 66 days in Venice from Robert Booth, writer, broadcaster and Venetophile and a Cookery Demonstration from Langrish House’s own Award winning, 2 AA rosette Head Chef, Peter Buckman.

On Day 3, Langrish House had the huge pleasure of a talk about Verdi’s Otello by ANTHONY NEGUS - Senior Member of the Music Staff, and Conductor at the Welsh National Opera!  His talk was illustrated by excerpts sung, gloriously, by the well known tenor, Mark Hamilton, whose wonderful voice filled the room and transported the audience to the very depths of the ‘dark night’ of Otello’s soul. 

The next Italian Week will be in the Spring of 2010.
