Choosing a wedding photographer to capture your big day is probably one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make when planning your wedding. The photographer’s role is an important one, as he or she is responsible for creating lasting keepsakes for you and your family to cherish for years to come.

Three things to consider when choosing your photographer:

  1. Personality: Remember this person is going to be with you throughout your wedding day – it’s important that you get along. When you meet him or her for the first time ask yourself: Do I like this person? Do I trust them to handle such an important day in my life? Do I feel comfortable with this person? Will my friends and family like him? Would I invite him or her to my wedding? If the answer to any of those questions is ‘no’ then you may need to find someone else.
  2. Style: Take a look at photographers’ work. It’s important that you like their style. Every photographer’s work is different. Do their images move you? Do they tell the complete story? Are they artistic and creative? Are they real, and do the people look comfortable?
  3. Cost: After the wedding is over the most important reminder of the day will be your wedding photos. Your pictures are your memories. Try not to choose your photographer on price alone as you may regret it later. According to a survey run buy an online wedding website, the number one regret couples had is that they wished they had spent more money on their wedding photography. Get the best you can afford.

We have worked with many photographers at Langrish House who we can recommend. We have shown you a few examples above. However it is very important that you meet with one or more of them before you make your final decision. There are links to a few of our regular photographers on our Wedding Suppliers page.
